China deep sea descent record at Mariana Trench

China has successfully sent a manned deep sea submersible, the Fendouzhe (“the striver”), to the bottom of the Mariana Trench! Descending more than 10,000 meters (33,000 feet), the vessel with 3 researchers had also broken a national record reaching Challenger Deep at 10,909 meters!
