Terrorist Buddhist monk in custody

Fugitive Myanmar Buddhist monk, Wirathu, widely known as the “Burmese Bin Ladin” has turned himself in to authorities after 18 months on the run. Wirathu was often seen with a machine gun by his side and encouraged fellow disciples to kill Rohingya Muslim refugees. His arrest comes days before a November 8th election which civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy is widely expected to win.
