ECB exploring Digital Euro

Following on the heels of the Chinese Digital Yuan initiative, Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central bank, has announced it has started official exploration of a Digital Euro. Unlike decentralized (DeFi) crypto currencies like Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin, the Chinese and ECB versions are centrally controlled (CenFi), and remains to be seen what impact it may or may not have on the crypto currency world.
